Human Rights in Colombia - Tripido FoundationThe adolescent Diego Felipe Becerra, known in Colombia as the "graffiti artist", was my wife's nephew. Diego Felipe was murdered by a police officer who shot him in the back in Bogotá in 2011. Diego Felipe's parents started a foundation to support responsible urban art, prevent authority abuse and ensure that the police respect human rights.
The foundation is currently collecting donations to equip around 90 volunteers with helmets, vests and first aid kits. Currently in the midst of so much police violence and brutality, these volunteers, who work for the Tripido Foundation and other human rights organizations, are at risk of being injured while accompanying citizens in protest marches. Your contribution will be of great help. We guarantee that the funds collected will be used immediately in the purchase of items to protect the physical health of human rights volunteers.
